Travel Agents could not be more important when it comes to booking vacations. Especially when it comes to Disney vacations. There are so many deadlines and it can be extremely overwhelming to plan… Unless you enjoy spending countless hours researching, planning, and being put on hold for hours at a time with Disney Customer Service. It can certainly be complicated. Here are my top 13 reasons why you should book with a Travel Agent. (updated October 26, 2022)

1. Expert Disney Knowledge and Experience

I have been to Disney A LOT. I have extensive knowledge of all four theme parks and the 20+ Disney Resort hotels. I have planned trips for families with babies and toddlers. I have also planned adults-only trips. I love to experience Disney for myself, but I also go as often as I do to make sure I am the most up to date for you! Every family and every vacation is different and I want to create the perfect experience for you. Disney Travel Agents are required to go through the “College of Disney Knowledge” so we have a “Disney Degree.” We are also required to stay current with updated courses. The agency I work with, Creating Magic Vacations, is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner AND is an Earmarked Gold Producer. We know our stuff!

2. It’s FREE

Yes, it’s free. There’s no catch. There are no hidden fees. My services are complimentary to you as my client. The cost of a Travel Agent is already included in the price of your vacation. So if you don’t use one, you are missing out on a ton of value.

3. Discount Monitoring

I monitor promotions to ensure you get the lowest price. I will automatically price check each of my reservations to make sure you are getting the best deal when new offers come out. If a new offer is better, I will automatically apply the savings and let you know. If the new offer is not a better deal, I will leave everything as is and keep an eye out for future promotions that could save you more money.

4. Premium Concierge Services

Here are just a few of the services I offer my clients: ground transportation, stroller rentals, experience/specialty reservations, VIP tours, transportation reservations, making payments, My Disney Experience assistance, reservation modifications, creating customized daily itineraries, and more! This is all done to help make your trip even more special and save you the stress.

5. Emergency Contact

If anything does happen to go wrong on your trip or there is an emergency, I am just a phone call away and will do my best to resolve the problem for you. I also have much more availability than most normal office hours and am available to help when the time is most convenient for you. If something goes wrong on your trip, just call me!

6. Itinerary Planning

Because of my knowledge of Disney World and my firsthand experience, I know how to make the most of your park time and can plan out detailed park plans for you based on your family, budget, and what you want to experience. I also know how to navigate crowds. That way all you have to do is show up and enjoy your vacation and not worry about any of the planning.

7. One Point of Contact

If you want to add a Travel Protection Plan, I do that for you. If you need to change your travel dates, I do that for you. Anything you need you just let me know and I will make it happen! I am in direct contact with Disney and have full access to your reservation so I can make any modifications needed.

8. Don’t Wait on Hold – EVER

The wait times for Disney are LONG. I have waited 8 hours on hold for a client before. If you don’t work with a Travel Agent and have a question or need to make a modification, you will have to call that number every. single. time. No more sitting on the phone on hold for hours with Disney! I want to save you time. I call Disney every single day, so let me make the call for you!

9. Advanced Dining Reservation Assistance

Advanced Dining Reservations open 60 days in advance at 6AM EST. I do offer to make these for my clients. If there is no availability for the restaurant you want, I have a subscription to a service that allows me to create reservation finders. This finder will notify me as soon as something becomes available and hopefully I will be able to snag something for you! Dining Reservations are extremely hard to get and you have to be FAST with the finders. Let me take care of that for you!

10. Disney Genie+ Assistance

Disney Genie+ is the paid replacement of FastPass+ and costs between $15-$22/ticket/day (price ranges based on date). It is an extremely confusing system and can be even more difficult to use. I have very detailed documents with Disney Genie+ info as well as tips and tricks that all of my clients get in order to help you maximize this new benefit and skip the lines at Walt Disney World.

11. Save Time

Planning a Disney trip is complicated and can take hours of research. The good news is that you have me to help you at every step, to answer all your questions, and make sure your trip is designed specifically for your family. You can relax while I do the work. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the magic!

12. More Than Just Disney

Yes, I specialize in Disney vacations (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, and Adventures by Disney), but I also plan other trips (cruises, all-inclusive resorts, Europe, etc). Anywhere you want to go, I’m your gal!

If you have made a booking directly with Disney within the last 30 days and haven’t paid in full it can be transferred to me! That way you can gain access to all the incredible benefits listed above!

When it comes down to it, the price with me is the same price as booking directly with Disney. The biggest difference is you have someone to go to to help navigate all the changes, making sure you are in the best property for your unique needs, dining reservations, staying on top of sales, what happens if you need to cancel and most importantly – navigating the new add-ons like Disney Genie+.
